Kurmangazy Talzhanov has over 24 years of experience in advising and providing legal support to Kazakhstani and international clients (including multinational and technology companies).
Kurmangazy has extensive experience in drafting/expertizing international commercial contracts, providing comprehensive M&A support, representing clients in courts and international commercial arbitration. He has also specializes in subsoil oil, corporate dispute resolution and leads the practice of advising clients on foreign investments issues. In addition, Kurmangazy represents clients in raising project finance from private and sovereign wealth funds.
Other areas of Kurmangazy's professional activity include advising and conducting due diligence of companies for compliance with the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the purposes of buying or selling a business, setting up companies in offshore jurisdictions, structuring international deals. Kurmangazy actively develops the Private Clients practice where business owners and company executives can receive a full range of legal services to meet their business and strategic objectives.
Prior to joining the Salus Legal Law Firm, Kurmangazy spent more than 14 years as Head of the Kazakhstan Office of Integrites International Law Firm worked in the Macleod Dixon International Law Firm, and in the Legal Department NAC Kazatomprom JSC.
